“I had the opportunity to attend a one-day bereavement group in August hosted by East End Hospice, Marisa, and the wonderful team of light workers. Spirit's Promise is truly a magical place where I experienced healing, compassion, and love for the animals and each other. Thank you!”

“This rescue farm is a beautiful home to many animals who have had traumatic events in their lives. The staff was professional and kind, and we had the pleasure of a tour from Cindy who is clearly empathic to the needs of these majestic animals and their positive impact as therapy animals to children and adults in need of this unique form of emotional support.”

Equine Therapy has benefits for children, youth, and adults that have physical and/or developmental disabilities. The benefits experienced by kids with mental and emotional disabilities are due to the special relationship they develop with the horse. The unconditional, non-judgmental aspect of the bond between the horse and the patient encourages the child to form an attachment and interaction with another living being, which is especially difficult for those with autism to achieve. In a safe environment, clients learn to face their fears and build confidence in their ability to overcome challenges. Empowered by the experience, they may develop the confidence to address other fears and transfer these lessons to day-to-day life.
