Diva, born in 2007, is a Welsh Pony and Arabian Cross Horse, who served as a Hunt Seat Jumper Show Pony. While the conditions of her barn would be considered a slice of paradise having her own stall and paddock, she couldn’t perform to the high standards so her owner wanted to retire her. She needed to know that Diva was going to a safe place where she would not be mistreated or sold to inevitable slaughter, so Spirit’s Promise came to Diva’s rescue in 2013. Diva was temporarily rehomed in a therapeutic riding barn but came back to her forever home at Spirit’s Promise in 2020. Diva had a thing or two to learn about being part of a herd, but because she is proud and very secure with herself, she’s come to know her place amongst the other horses. All the male horses sure do love her and she knows it, but Joker won her heart back in 2013 and he’s kept it ever since. Even though she likes to flirt, she feels very safe with him and you can find them going on secret dates in the paddocks. Diva is absolutely beautiful to watch and you can almost hear the music when she runs with her tail at a 90-degree angle. After her trot commences, you can be sure to hear loud snorts that closely resemble a dragon. Diva is a sensitive horse and makes for an ideal round pen partner for people who are suffering from PTSD and trauma.

In addition to her meals consisting of Hay and Grains, Diva also receives a dewormer and daily doses of Vermont Pro, a prebiotic/probiotic.
