Frank Sinatra “Frankie”

Frank Sinatra, born in 2009, is a Miniature Paint Horse. Lovingly called Frankie, he served as a therapy horse to kids with special needs. Unfortunately, in 2021, the barn he called home hit financial hardship and his owner had to rehome the horses, including his companion, Willy Nelson. Now at Spirit’s Promise, Frankie will spend the rest of his days next to his lifelong friend, Willy. A few months after his rescue, Frankie started showing signs of a respiratory attack that was causing heavy coughing and wheezing. Frankie has developed onset Recurrent Airway Obstruction (RAO), also known as "Heaves". He's treated with an herbal breathing supplement known as Heave Ho. Frankie has grown fond of his stall mate, Gus, and can often be found following him around. You’ll often find Frankie causing trouble somewhere as one of our resident escape artists!

In addition to his meals consisting of Hay, Frankie also receives a dewormer and daily doses of Heave Ho, an antihistamine for breathing difficulties.
